With four kids spanning a 12-year age range, it’s often difficult to find things they all might be interested in doing. So, needless to say, planning family activities is tough. But, recently…we hit the jackpot!
I was perusing my FB feed when I saw a post that said “it’s rainy outside, but bright and cheery in our studio!” This post was from a place I’ve been wanting to go to for quite awhile: a paint-your-own pottery and ceramic studio called Clay Street Ceramics, here in Cbus.
Clay Street Ceramics is owned by a very special person to our family, so not only was I hoping to paint, but also catch up. Thankfully, we were able to do both! We were the only customers in the studio, at that time; so we got lots of attention, lots of visiting in, lots of hugs, and had lots of fun!
The older kids raved about how much fun they had and how they want to go back ASAP! Baby girl kept saying, “I make an owl!” (She is digging owls lately 🦉❤️).
The pic above is the “before” (the kiln firing). We can’t wait to see the finished results! I can’t wait to have them proudly displayed in my house: not only as super-cute decorations my kids and I made; but, more importantly, as a reminder of a really fun afternoon. An afternoon that, really, five kids (with an age range from 45 to 2) had a fun day together. 😉
